Wanaka Transfers & Tours – FAQ
1. How do I book a transfer or tour with Wanaka Transfers?
You can book directly through our website booking system, or by phone or email. Once
your booking is confirmed you will receive full trip details, including pickup time and
driver contact information.
2. Do you operate every day?
Yes, we run transfers and tours every day of the week, including weekends and public
holidays (Christmas Day bookings are subject to driver availability). All trips must be
pre-booked, so we recommend booking well in advance to secure your preferred date
and time.
3. Do you provide airport transfers?
Yes, we provide reliable transfers to and from Queenstown Airport. Our drivers track
your flight, so we arrive to the commercial transfers area (Zone C) at the correct time –
10 minutes after landing for domestic arrivals, and 30 minutes after landing for
international arrivals. Upon booking, please select the closest appropriate pick-up time
to match your flight details.
4. Can I pre-book a transfer or tour in advance?
Yes, we recommend it. Pre-booking is especially important for airport trips, early
morning pickups, and busy periods such as ski season, summer, and public holidays.
5. How are fares calculated?
Fares are fixed and confirmed at the time of booking, based on your route and vehicle
requirements. Any additional costs will be specified for extra requirements on top of
the base fare price. Please note, all transfers before 7am and after 7pm, or on public
holidays will incur additional charges.
6. Do you offer fixed fares or quotes?
We can offer both, all of our transfer and tour pricing is quoted and confirmed before
your trip. Custom quotes are available for group transfers, private tours, and multi-day
journeys.
7. What payment methods do you accept?
We will send you a payment link once the booking has been confirmed. For last minute
bookings, we prefer payment via credit card as this is instantaneous, otherwise if
booked in advance we accept online bank transfers. We can also provide invoices for
business accounts upon request.
8. Do you offer corporate or business accounts?
Yes, we offer business account arrangements for companies needing regular transport
for staff or clients. Please contact us for the necessary documentation.
9. Are your drivers licensed and professional?

and are committed to providing a safe, reliable, and friendly service.
10. Can I request a larger vehicle or transport for groups?
Yes, our fleet of vans covers individuals, families, as well as small or large groups. Let
us know your group size and needs when booking so we can allocate the right vehicle.
11. Can you accommodate luggage, skis, golf clubs, or bikes?
Yes, we are well set up for large luggage and ski or bike gear, which is common given
our location. Please mention this when booking so we can allocate a suitable vehicle,
and if necessary add a trailer. All luggage must be contained in the luggage cage at the
back of the vehicle or in a trailer.
12. Do you provide trailers for bulky items?
Yes, we can provide a trailer for a small fee if required. Please mention this when
booking so we can allocate a suitable vehicle.

also offer further customised multi-day destination transfers such as Glenorchy, Te
Anau, Franz Josef, and Mt Cook.
17. Can we travel in a discreet, unbranded vehicle?
All of our vehicles are sign written with Wanaka Transfers branding. We can offer our
uxury vehicle upon request for a higher rate, which is more discretely branded.
18. What makes Wanaka Transfers different?
We are a locally owned and operated company focused on reliable, personalised
service across the lower half of the South Island. We have a sister company called
Green Cabs, who operate in both Wānaka and Queenstown, and is available for more
taxi-style trips.

Contact us as soon as possible with your trip details. As all bookings are logged in our
system, we can quickly identify the driver and help recover/return your item.
20. Can we travel with pets?
Absolutely. You can bring your pets with you with Wanaka Transfers. Just like an
airline all pets must travel in their airline approved travel crate and travel in the rear of
the van. We place your pet’s cage with the door facing into the van so your pet can see
you through the mesh of our luggage cage. Please always book your pet with us so we
can allocate the correct vehicle for you.
21. Do the vehicles have security cameras?
Yes, all our vehicles have both forward road facing and internal rear facing security
cameras to ensure the safety of our drivers and our passengers. Our roads can be
dangerous so it’s important to record our driving.
